Skadi Loist ist seit Jan. 2008 Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Medien und Kommunikation der Universität Hamburg. Mit Marijke de Valck hat sie das Film Festival Research Network gegründet (www.filmfestivalresearch.org) und arbeitet an ihrer Promotion zu Queeren Filmfestivals in Deutschland und USA.
Ihre Arbeitsgebiete umfassen: Filmfestivalforschung; Filmtheorie und Filmgeschichte; Gender und Queer Studies in der Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaft; (New) Queer Cinema; Cultural Studies.
Skadi Loist is a PhD candidate and junior researcher in the Media and Communications Studies Department at the University of Hamburg. With Marijke de Valck she co-founded the Film Festival Research Network (www.filmfestivalresearch.org). Her current research project analyzes queer film festivals in the U.S. and Germany/Austria. She is the co-editor of Bildschön. 20 Jahre Lesbisch Schwule Filmtage Hamburg (2009).
